One column of text at every width, with no horizontal scrolling at 390 pixels or above. Type that scales with the browser setting. Colour contrast measured against WCAG 2.1 AA rather than guessed. Every control reachable by keyboard with a visible focus ring. Touch targets at least 44 pixels. No autoplay, no motion that cannot be turned off, no scroll hijacking. Real form labels and error messages that say what to do.

This site has been checked with an automated tool, axe, against WCAG 2.1 A and AA on every page at desktop and phone width. It reports nothing. That is worth exactly what an automated check is worth, which is that the obvious faults are absent, not that the site is easy to use.

What has not been done is a session with a screen reader and a person who uses one daily. Until that happens we cannot honestly claim this site works well with assistive technology, only that it is built the way it should be. We would rather say that than show a badge.

Two things we already know. The site is in English only, so a French or Portuguese speaker meets it in a second language, and that is a barrier we intend to remove. And films published here will need captions and transcripts in every language we publish in, which is work not yet done.
